Project Description

On June 24th, 2022, Roe vs. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court in the USA, leaving individual states to decide whether or not to allow abortion to remain legal. In my home state of Texas, a ban on abortion went into effect almost immediately. These events caused me to reflect on my own personal history with abortion, gender stereotypes, and women’s rights.

This story was published in collaboration with Drawing the Times, a platform for graphic journalism. It was also featured in an exhibit called Reality in Comics at the Comics Art Museum in Brussels.
