Project Description
It was a pleasure to work with the KNAW (the Royal Dutch Academy of Arts and Sciences) again. They asked me to apply my illustration skills to a guide for foreign academics initiated by The Young Academy.
I created one large illustration which could also be broken into six smaller spot illustrations to head each chapter:
- How does it all work? The structure of Dutch academia
- Who does what? Research organizations in the Netherlands
- What’s in a name? Degrees and teaching at Dutch universities
- How do I pay for my research? Funding opportunities in the Netherlands
- What’s the long-term picture? Higher education and research policy
- What’s in it for us? Diversity and family support
The web designer, WAT Ontwerpers, did a great job making the artwork dynamic throughout the layout.
