Project Description
FACES ON THE FERRY is a multimedia art project that started in this tiny sketchbook on the NDSM ferry in Amsterdam. While making portraits of her fellow commuters, Rachelle discovered an unexpected relationship between the quiet nature of a ferry trip and the slow unfolding of time. When presented as a solo exhibit, this film of the original sketchbook was featured alongside graphic silkscreen prints based on these drawings.
This project has been supported by the AFK (Amsterdam Fund for the Arts), was initiated through our creative collective, Therewise Enterprises, and was originally funded by our Kickstarter backers.
