FACES ON THE FERRY is a multimedia art project by illustrator Rachelle Meyer that started in a tiny sketchbook on the NDSM ferry in Amsterdam. While making portraits of her fellow commuters, Rachelle discovered an unexpected relationship between the quiet nature of a ferry trip and the slow unfolding of time. Faces on the Ferry also acts as a chronicle of the dynamic growth and diverse population of Amsterdam Noord.
